Personally I don't see the problem with duplicate colors. I prefer lipsticks over lip glosses and sometimes a make up company will make a gloss color I'd love in a lip stick. A lot of companies are guilty of duplicating colors as well. Such as OPI(not lip colors, I know), they seem to have a ton of red shades witin the same hue, and people still buy their nail colors despite it. So why is it a big deal that Doe practices the same thing?

I think some other people find it boring, that content was submitted so I can’t speak to exactly why they dislike it.

i just thought a side by side (but who knows how accurate) comparison would be nice to go along with that last ask.

I admire how tastefully you blog is written :) I've read a few posts elsewhere including terms like "russian immigrant" ect which is just a cheap dig to be honest. You always keep on topic :)

Much obliged!

Hey dear, I may have read to fast but you're based in UK? To that last person, it's weird to criticise a company for having the same shade in different mediums (eyeshadow, lips, etc.) but whatever. Anyway, I frequently check Sleek to see if they'll ever offer free US shipping and guess what I saw? A mighty interesting red matte lip product among other things. It's on the homepage if you check it out :)

I’m actually from the States, but I think the person who sent that info is from the UK. Thanks for passing that info on, I’ve always wanted to try Sleek out!

Is it just me or do Lime Crime seem to be using the same pigments and just using them for different things? Like Hollygram looks exactly the same as Serpentina, Absinthe Minded and the green polish look the same. It just seems pretty lazy to just sitck the same pigments in different formulas.

Using a private label to make her products may be the reason why the color selection seems repetitive perhaps?

The more products she makes the more I hate her and i get sent free L.C which is shit can I say that here? what to make her company look good because of my talent. Should i tell her how i feel
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

I’m guessing you’re a make up artist or blogger, right? If you feel like your talents are being used to promote things you don’t like or aren’t being treated as well as you ought to be for lending your photos/videos etc., I think you have plenty of reason to bring that up with Lime Crime.

I find it interesting that the new glitters can't be used near the eye

I’m surprised they’ve brought back any type of loose pigment period!

Hey, just wanted to post about two possible dupes for the new velvetines range available in the UK (provided it IS a matte opaque smooth finish colour). Sleek makeup is a great brand available in Superdrugs, they do lipsticks (mystic is a great dupe for airborne unicorn, stiletto for retrofurist) and lip paints which are like OCC lip tars only much cheaper! This winter there’s a limited edition lip gloss collection called “Truely Mattely Deeply” which contains a bright red and a barbie pink colour. Another dupe I own is Bourjois “So Delicate” not sure if they are still available but they are great matte daywear colours.

Ok, that makes sense. Australians don't traditionally celebrate thanksgiving, so here Black Friday is whenever Friday coincides with the 13th. The promotion also says 'no new releases or already discounted products' so it makes me think that the older stock isn't selling too well.
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

No problem!

I have a feeling Lime Crime is lacking revenue, why else would Doe put a 'Black Friday Sale' on the 23/24th which isn't even Black Friday! Black Friday is traditionally the 13th right?
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving which is the 23rd this year, I am surprised that she named percentages this early though. It’ll be interesting to see how it all comes together for them with such a major sale and product launches at the same time.
