I wish I had known about the lies before I purchased 3 eyeshadow dusts. I am so disappointed because I thought Doe Deere was so cool and had a great business. I'm probably going to buy the mica straight from the wholesaler and get 14x the product for ONLY FOUR DOLLARS as opposed to 12.

I’m sorry that you got taken advantage of, it may be possible to make returns depending on when you made your purchase and your credit card company.

Wait, if none of the dupes are EXACTLY like Lime Crime's, wouldn't that mean that Lime Crime IS original?
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

A lot of the dupes aren’t exact because the other products offer a superior formula without the wear/application issues that Lime Crime products have.

I just got my alchemy collection and although the eyeshadow swatches are photoshopped for sure, the cream colour is very impressive and true to life (even on my pale skin). I also found the lip swatches to be very accurate, but again I have extremely pale skin which may make the colour seem more vibrant.

Good to know that these may work better on paler complexions; feel free to submit some photos if you’d like.

I just want to point out that I am the one who wrote the article and conducted the interview with Doe for Beautylish. You pointed out that it felt as though Doe had copied your answer to a comment you received about criticism on October 26 but Doe submitted the responses for the interview nearly two months earlier on September 3rd. I just wanted to clear that up.
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

The parallels between the two were submitted content, but yes I was a bit surprised that it sounded familiar. Thank you for giving us the timeline for the interview so we can look at the interview answers with that in mind.

I am not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, but i recently bought the Alchemy palette and the real swatches look nothing like the swatches she has on her site. There is very little shift and you can tell a bit of contrast was added to the photos. This is a great misrepresentation of what these colors look like.

It is a huge difference.

I was bummed with the new Alchemy palette because the green was more yellow based & I really liked the color on Lola. I realized if you layer the Divination (blue) over the Lucky Charm you get the match to Lola's color. They need to mention that to their fans!
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

Thanks for pointing that out, I’m glad you could still get the look you were going for with the palette even if it took a little extra work :)

Asker Anonymous Asks:
so that's the reason the palette is out of stock? sounds like a ridiculous marketing ploy. makes me hate lc.
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

The palette itself is not of stock, but the gift set was limited edition and has sold out I believe because they only made a specific number of “mooks”.

Asker Anonymous Asks:
what's a mook?
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

The mook is the pamphlet that Lime Crime sent out with their Alchemy lipstick/palette set. It’s got pictures from the photoshoot along with beauty tips and recipes.

I absolutely love lime crime lipsticks and eyeshadows (the non-repackaged ones, anyways) and will never stop buying from them- but I do love your blog and think it's very tastefully written. She does some pretty crappy things and I feel bad for loving her products- but I just wanted to say your blog is great. Thanks.
doedeerelies doedeerelies Said:

Glad you enjoy it!

Asker Anonymous Asks:
Oh BTW if the person (I've forgotten who it is) who owns the image of the photoshopped bottle wants my mook they can have it. I'll post it to them.

Thanks!
