A collective of information and experiences with the cosmetics company Lime Crime and its founder, Doe Deere/Xenia Vorotova

Here are swatches of the Melt Cosmetics’ lipsticks via co-owner Dana Bomar’s Instagram account. These shades are also apparently vegan and cruelty free.

This is the dupe for Peaches and Cream I was talking about. It’s Orly, Old School Orange. As you can see, it’s more orange than Lime Crime’s, but it’s not as obnoxious as the regular orange I’ve seen from other companies. Hope this helped! x

Illamasqua is having a buy 2 get one free lipstick sale which almost makes up for the INSANE shipping price of these products to the us. I am trying to decide…so torn…I know Kontrol for sure and probably Atomic…should I go for the cray but beautiful teal Apocalips?? [I am afraid of green lipsticks because sadly I dont wear my Chlorophyll lip tar as much as I should and $26 for a lipstick is quite an investment!] Swatches from Anatomy of Beauty.

Just wanted to pass on this sale for any Illamasqua fans and also link to a swatch of Posture, which looks like a very good dupe for Chinchilla

Can I suggest a dupe for their Uniliner in Quill? Hard Candy's Walk the Line Liquid Eyeliner in Asphalt is pretty dark and lasts for a while with primer underneath. :) x

Thanks, I’ll add that to the spreadsheet!

Portland Black Lipstick Co.'s "The Purple Cloud" is a perfect dupe for D'Lilac and "Difficulty Island" resembles No She Didn't.

Thanks for passing these onto me.

I normally recommend Inglot’s Freedom System as an alternative to Lime Crime palettes due to the fact they are much more affordable and can be customized in any way you like. The only downside to creating a custom palette was that Inglot’s website is kind of hard to navigate and there are no color descriptions. Thankfully, now that Inglot has launched at Beautylish you can use their swatches/color organization system to sort through things quicker and see how the actual eyeshadow looks in the pan and on skin. I definitely recommend checking it out, I just made up an alternative to the Palette D’Antoinette in a few minutes.

Shades used from left to right:  #362 (Matte), #477 (Double Sparkle), #393 (Pearl), #493 (Double Sparkle) #447 (Pearl)

Have you seen the new SweetPea and Fay Etui collection that just launched last night? Their new seasonal collection includes a lipstick called “Big Parade” that looks just like Lime Crime’s Geradium, judging by the official swatch and description. And it is only half the price of Geradium.

No I hadn’t seen it before, thank you for passing that on. It does look very nice, I’ll be looking out for some more swatches of it to see how it compares to Geradium. For anyone curious, here’s what Big Parade looks like.

So as i was going through ebay for glitters I spotted something that looked EXACTLY the same as the Glitter Zodiac Aris Lime Crime was selling and it has a lot more then those tiny cups shes sell and much more cheaper as well.

Lots of dupes in that listing, no doubt. I would recommend that anyone considering ordering from a wholesaler make sure to choose one of the finer cuts of glitter for the sake of their eyes, especially since many wholesalers will stock an entire range of sizes.

For those in australia, BYS cosmetics ( found in K marts and Cosmetics Plus) makes a Lipstick called Electric Lavender and it is a dupe for Airborne Unicorn, however, qualities a little dodgy, but for a $3.95 lipstick, it's still better then lime crime.

Thanks for passing that on, this color doesn’t sound too different from the actual Airborne Unicorn which has it’s own application issues.

maimaimaiii:

Inglot’s new addition to their Freedom System lipsticks. These are very creamy and only $5.00 each!

Just to follow up the post on Inglot from yesterday, Mai already has swatches from the new palette! The colors are gorgeous and the payoff couldn’t be nicer. You can read her full write up on the palette here.
