I have created a blog called Glam Eyez Lies (I have acknowledged I am copying this site in my FAQ). I hope you will approve/publish this so your readers can be aware of another shady company.

Lime Crime and Wendy’s Candy Apple and Golden Ticket swatch comparisons. Golden Ticket looks similar to the LC swatch. With Candy Apple it’s a little harder to tell if it’s as glittery as the LC swatch.

Side by side comparison of the Lime Crime swatch of Kaleidoscope and [redacted link’s] swatch. Quite the difference, especially in opacity and sparkle.

I always like both sides of the story I thought i’d give it a shot to ask Doe over twitter if we could talk personally, she told me to send her an email so we did. I asked about some Shrinkle things, and mentioned the TKB trading drama, I wanted a clear response and answers…she did reply, however she danced around everything I asked in the em-mail and twisted it to talk about things I didn’t really mention…I thought some people would like a look…

Thanks for writing to me. I enjoyed reading your letter — although it described less than joyful events, it’s the way that you’ve dealt with them that matters the most. I can tell you are a strong spirit.
I’d like to think so am I. Growing up in Russia, I didn’t have much and, just like you, had to invent my own world in which I’d be loved and accepted. Later on in life I realized I wasn’t the only one doing this; so I’ve decided to start expressing it more outwardly by dressing the way I wanted and doing my makeup a certain way. It was kind of like an invitation for other kindred spirits to recognize me and not feel so alone. That’s what Lime Crime is to me. A chance to be ourselves, be accepted, every day, without exception.
Of course there are people out there who are extremely threatened by that. The idea that someone so different can lead  a happy life revolts them; they feel that it’s wrong, that a freak must be punished. That is the reason they do what they do. And if they can’t find proof that I’m “evil”, they’ll manufacture it or twist my words to fit their story.
At first it angered me; I couldn’t help but feel they were out to destroy me and everything I stood for. Over time, I learned to take it less personally and not let it affect me much any more, but what angers me still is that they are affecting others with their bile and negativity. Alas, there is nothing I can do about that. Everyone makes their own decisions, and if some people would rather believe internet gossip, I cannot help them. The best I can do is communicate my message clearly, hoping they will see what I stand for: positivity, light, kindness to others.
I hope this helps clears it up a little. Thank you for sharing your story with me — it’s inspiring, to say the least. Stay strong and stay beautiful!

Doe”

She was terribly sweet in the e-mail, but it gets to me a little that nothing I asked was mentioned in the reply :/

Looks like the glosses are really sheer? Or maybe not? Depends on what hour you ask.

More weird photoshopping is apparent when you zoom in on the swatches. This one has what looks like pink lipstick on the edge and some pink reflection. It almost looks like the lips were photoshopped in from another model with a different skin tone or different product on her lips.

The swatches of the new lip glosses are up. It is nice that they made the effort to note that most of these were swatched with a lipstick underneath, but what do these products actually look like by themselves and without the *ahem* assistance of quite a bit of photoshop? These pictures are so heavily edited they remind me of 80s airbrush art.

As said on the Examiner forum article, everytime Amy gets to a big milestone (IMATS, BeautySocial, Facebook stuff, Izzy Hilton and Kerli), Xenia starts trolling her (remeber the IMATS cocaine thing? and *someone* making fun of Yume’s accent?). I’m pretty sure, as the one who wrote this on the Examiner, that when Sugarpill reaches 100.000 likes on Facebook Xenis will start some serious trolling or either have another huge sale which a special code is offered when you “Like” them.
This thing is getting so disgusting. She’s acting worse than a jealous brat. Did you see Xenis’ last post about the Locketship event? She’s even posting pictures the same way as Amy - post a picture of someone and say some random quality about them, taking pictures of the event itself and the displayed art, and not concentrating only on her and Lime Crime. And the outfit she wore? It’s so not her at all. And the makeup? It’s been sometime since she wore something “colorfull and crazy”.
What about her “holographic” sticker? Gosh!

I agree, it seems like she’s going to do everything she can to imitate Amy and Sugarpill. The most recent contest is once again an against Facebook Terms of Service pull for numbers, but I don’t think any contest is going to gain her 20,000+ fans anytime soon. Sugarpill’s popularity is sky rocketing and no amount of PR send outs to bloggers or magazines is going to make that much of a difference when there is no comparison in terms of quality between the two companies. I don’t even think it’s fair to compare Sugarpill to Lime Crime anymore, they’ve clearly become something far bigger in terms of product quality, marketing, and customer satisfaction.
